The Brandenburg gate symbolizes peace and unity. More than a thousand people come here to see and take photos of it. Not only is it “a symbol of Germany but it also “stands for the reunification” of East and West Germany in 1990.
The gate opened on the 6th of August 1791. King Friedrich Wilhelm II was responsible for the construction of the gate. The gate is one of eight gates of berlin.
Before you could drive with cars at the gate but now you cant.
